We are striving to use no more water than can be naturally produced by our own water supply. Obviously, we are a long way from achieving that goal. Conservation efforts are critical, but we also need our residents to be aware of issues and make choices to protect our water supply. The Mayor is hosting a Water Forum on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 7:00 pm in the Senior Center at the Mahwah Municipal Building. We invite everyone to learn:
- How our Water Dept gets the water from local wells to our homes
- What maintenance plans are necessary to ensure our water remains safe and available
- What the annual test results mean to resident’s safety
- How we can ensure the future of our water supply through conservation
Our water is clean, safe and relatively inexpensive. To keep it this way, the community needs to understand the benefits of our water supply. Without understanding and conservation, we may not always have access to the local water supply we enjoy today. Join us at the Mayor’s Water Forum on April 19th.
