The operations staff conducts training sessions and drills, using the Mahwah Township Emergency Operations Plan. The county and state-approved this very thorough and detailed document, recently re-written with input from all borough agencies. Many members are also trained First Responders, Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Volunteer Fireman, etc. Members have distinguished themselves with volunteer work during the World Trade Center disaster, during hurricane Floyd, and other recent disasters.
